What was this M&S dessert - custard layer, cream layer, I think caramel maybe?

I used to love it but haven't seen it for quite a few years! Does anyone else remember?

It had the sort of layering a trifle does, but no fruit or jelly. Can't remember if there was sponge at the bottom but don't think so?

Anyone know what I'm on about?

Just found this thread after looking for this classic dessert myself. Sadly it is discontinued now. Does anyone have a recipe for it at all?

I love waitrose caramel surprise but it's becoming hard to find. I only have little waitrose branches near me and none stock it.
