AIBU to think all baby modelling agencies are a scam and ask for experiences of them?

My DS is 11 months old and a very happy and content baby. We’ve been approached by a few modelling agencies for him when out and about (live in a large city) but when looking online any agency outside of central London has terrible reviews and people saying they have been scammed by them. We are not desperate for him to pursue it but if there was a ‘proper’ agency outside of London that would take him then of course it would be nice to hopefully build his confidence and maybe even see him in some campaigns!
Does anyone have any experience of any agencies outside of London for their DC (either good or bad!)? Thank you.

My niece and nephew did some child modelling, as did I as a young child.

All of it was arranged as we were close personal contacts of the people who wanted the modelling, not because we worked with an agent.

My friend is in PR too, actually, and my other friend ended up in the paper with her two - because why pay an agency, when you know plenty of people with kids?

Not all of them will be scams as such - but it's in their interest to have as many clients available, because babies are hard to schedule, and naturally that will mean that a large number don't get jobs.
