Can’t work out what to do .

I am 33 weeks pregnant.
Employer informed me there has been a covid outbreak in the work place- staff and pupils ( secondary school!)

Do I remain at work?
Have been very I’ll this pregnancy and can’t bare thought of getting covid yet again especially whilst pregnant and caring for young family .

I am fully vaccinated.

AIBU for taking time off ?

Issue is that covid isn’t going away ? So when would I return to work ?

I’d speak to midwife previously they wanted people after so many weeks to work from home or be off if couldnt work from home probably changed now (and my employer didn’t care about that anyway so I still ended up being in business) but maybe take advice from midwife before speaking to boss and see what current guidance is

Not unreasonable, coming from a negative experience myself after contracting covid and being vaccinated. You do not want covid In the third trimester.

Do they still inform you when there's an "outbreak". Our school doesn't, because it's no longer considered an illness any more serious than a cold, thank goodness. I've seen a couple of teachers and kids with masks every so often and presume they have COVID but as you are now expected to continue as normal if infectious then that's what we do. We aren't allowed to ask if someone has COVID either.
