To think Gary Davies should stay on the Radio 2 morning slot

I think he's doing a great job, just a good DJ with a proven track record, nice to listen to, cant see how Vernon Kay will bring anything more? And while I'm at it, OJ Borg should have stayed on the afternoon slot as Scott Mills has been an unexpected disappointment.

I agree, I can only imagine he was offered it and didn’t want it?

Maybe he wanted to carry on with his 80s stuff which is great but he's so nice in the morning.

New music quiz is ok, he's so nice to the contestants. It seems like they're looking for 'big' names when there's no reason to. I've had a quick listen to PopMaster with Ken Bruce on Greatest Hits & it all seemed a bit dull really.
I liked OJ's easy going style & his Ravio 2 on a Friday. I was looking forward to Scott Mills but it's all listener shout outs & Eurovision.

Gary Davies is fine.
Scott Mills is awful - bland & boring, no interesting interviews, no real content.

I liked when he sat in for Ken when he was on holiday. Have no opinion either way now as I solely listen to GHR. (With premium so don’t have the adverts)

I agree, I like Gary Davis and always thought he was a good stand in for Ken Bruce. I'd probably stay with R2 if he'd taken the morning slot, but I've moved to Greatest Hits now. I don't enjoy Scott Mills either - he's a bit immature and his 'Love you bye' got old pretty quick. If you liked Simon Mayo's drivetime and Ken Bruce then give Greatest Hits a try.

Moved to GHR when Ken started. R2 is rubbish during the weekdays now. Only like Paul Gambachinni on a Saturday now.

Find GD incredibly patronising. When he insisted on referring to Lucy Beaumont as “John Richardson’s wife” in every introduction for tracks of my years rather than actually talking about her own achievements I wanted to throw three axiom out the window.

He also laughs at the Ten to the Top contestants regularly. Awful man.

Happily I have now made the jump to Greatest Hits radio so R2 can do what they like.

I only listen to GHR now. Radio 2 is rubbish. I can even put up with the awful ads.

Gary would have been much better as a replacement for Ken. And agree that OJ would have been better than Scott Mills.

I find GD insufferable. Loves the sound of his own voice 😂.

And it seems so arrogant to keep playing that jingle "ooh Gary Davis, ooh Gary Davis".

I do like Claudia Winkleman but I do wish DJs weren't taught at Radio School to lick ever guest's arse. So effing annoying.

I like Vernon when he’s stood in for Zoe on the breakfast show. He’s much better than her, but that’s probably not saying much.

i don’t get to listen any more anyway as I’m at work in office full time now. Only caught Scott Mills show for the first time this week when I was off and it was pretty forgettable.

I wish Gary Davis could stay and they move Vernon Kay on to another station, maybe sport, if that is his thing....Gary is far more professional. I find it strange that the likes of Vernon and Zoe Ball are too precious to work during Easter Break?

Most of the regular DJs are off during Easter, Christmas, half terms, any other time they're filmng, even if for a non-BBC channel. Not a bad gig!

And I agree about Gary... except for the 'woo' business!

I loathed KB, love Vernon he is so natural and just lifts my mood
Don't mind GD, and Scott Mills plays better music though am fairly ambivalent about him
