To be so annoyed at my brothers constant bragging?

I have one brother who has a daughter, she's an only child. (I have four kids, all of whom do various sports and music etc etc.) My problem is that my brother never ever shuts up about his daughter, what's she's doing, she scored a goal, she won a race, she was chosen for this, it is constant, he has a new Facebook post up daily about how proud he is of her, usually over exaggerated claims, or she scored 5 goals when she scored one, or she was selected for this when she was the only one applied. It is exhausting and it takes over every conversation I ever have with him. He never asks about any of my kids and I never tell him, not that I'd get a word in edgeways even if I tried to! How do I get this to stop irritating me so much, or how do I ask him diplomatically to stop??!!

You can let it irritate you or you can just think of how nice it is that he thinks she is wonderful.

He sounds proud but YANBU it can be excessive when people do this! Maybe he doesn’t realise he’s doing it

How do you know its 5 goals vs 1, and the only 1 applied? He tells you this but then brags lies? Or you assume he's lying?

Well if he's outright lying on social media about her scoring 5 goals when it was 1, he's going to make a fool of himself isn't he? Other people go to matches.
