To refuse to go to IKEA Wembley on Easter bank holiday Monday?

DH thinks if we get there for 9:50 ready for it to open at 10, we can be in before the rush and it will be ok.

Has anyone been at Easter?

Will it be mobbed?

I’ve got no idea whether it will be busy, but the forecast is wet so it could be.

However, there’s plenty of other days and it has long opening hours, so why not have a family day and go another day.

I think it will be ok if you know exactly what you want, pay for it early and leave. If you are going to browse and take your time, potentially by the time you get to picking up the products and paying it could be busy.
I only go late in the evenings now as can't manage the weekend/bank holiday crowds

If you know what you want, check stock, make a note of warehouse location and avoid the showroom.

Not only is it Easter but it is school holidays. IKEAs are busy every school holiday as children seem to like them.

It will be fine, if you get there when it opens. It’s the people who rock up at 1pm that blows my mind. Why would you sign up for that!

As above. Did it once. Hellish. No matter how early you arrive there will be a queue and as soon as the doors open, you'll be lucky not to be trampled by those who think queuing is just a quaint habit that only old people do. Go on another day.

Thank you for all the posts. I persuaded DH to save it for a midweek late evening jaunt (we need to mooch around for ideas when we get there).
