Excellent, balanced article in today's Guardian about women's spaces needing protecting in law all over AGAIN, because they used to be protected and yet 'somehow' no longer are.

I have left voting on because I am very interested to know how many might actually disagree with this...

That article reflects perfectly where I sit on this and I really hope the extremists on both sides of the debate take note.

Worth saying that this is an Observer column, not The Guardian. The Observer has long seen sense on this, unlike the Guardian

TokyoStories · 09/04/2023 10:44

That’s the Observer, not the Guardian. They’ve published the odd article about this for a while now.

SmartHome · 09/04/2023 10:46

What kind of person would you have to be to disagree with that? And yet 8% already have.

CaptainWarbeck · 09/04/2023 10:49

Yeah the Observer is much more gender critical than the Grauniad. I'll be very interested to see the day when the Guardian publishes an article like that.

Interesting though, this bit: "Someone female with a GRC who gets pregnant would not be covered by Equality Act protections against pregnancy and maternity discrimination, for example."

Is this actually happening in practice now?
