The only thing my family seem to want to do is drink.
Long day at work? Drink
Great weekend? Drink
Unwell? Drink
There can never be no alcohol in their house. It's like when most people run out of milk or bread, when they run out it's immediately on the list to buy more wine, sometimes vodka/whiskey.
Anytime I visit them in their house they're drinking.
It wouldn't bother me so much if they weren't so negative about everything, but every single conversation is from the most negative viewpoint possible. My dad gets unreasonably angry about so many things and ends up shouting his opinions across the room, and my mum generally just agrees with him even if it's clear she has no idea what he's actually talking about.
I have very little to say to them. When I visit, sometimes other family members are there too and it's a game of who can shout the loudest. I regularly get spoken over, and to be honest, just give up because I can't be bothered shouting over everyone just to be heard.
Anyone else feel like they just don't fit in with their family?
