Phobia of vomiting and feel sick. Any advice?

I know there is a lovely kind network of other emetophobes here so hoping for some kind words of wisdom.
I have felt really sick last few hours. Can’t figure out why. No one else in the family is ill, I have only eaten vegetarian food cooked at home and haven’t travelled anywhere to pick something up. I just feel really full like I’ve eaten too much (which I haven’t) and I can’t lie down as when I do I feel sick.

i have a bad vomit phobia so now I’m starting to panic and can’t relax or even think about sleeping. I have a full on work day tomorrow and just need some advice. Help!

Hi I have emetophobia and understand
It doesn't sound like a bug.

I'd suggest it's probably indigestion and now that you've noticed it you can't un-notice it iyswim?

I have emetaphobia too. It sounds like trapped wind?
Also, I panic when I feel sick and which then increases the tension, and subsequent nausea. It’s a vicious circle.

I feel for you. Have you tried peppermint tea? Or ginger?

I feel you tonight. Sickness phobia here and my 7 month old baby has just thrown up twice in the last hour 😭 I now can’t sleep 1) for worrying about her and 2) because I’m worried I’ll have caught it if it’s a bug!

Yours doesn’t sound like a sickness bug to me, it’ll be something and nothing, just a bit of mild nausea I’m sure. Small sips of water!

Bugs tend to take hold quite quickly in my experience (which is quite helpful imo if you have emetophobia), so I don't think it's a bug.
I was on antibiotics a few weeks ago for tonsillitis which made me feel a bit sick and full like you're describing. It's probably a bit of indigestion.

The Thrive programme helped me by Rob Kelly. Look it up and buy the manual at the very least.

My DD has this phobia, so I hear you. It's hard going ❤️

As an aside, I have had a bug for the last week. Started off just feeling nauseous. No other symptoms at all for 2-3 days. Some tummy rumbles. Then a bit of a headache for a day. Then back to the nausea. Still not right today and it's been a week. Apparently a lot of it around.

I have emeophobia - it's awful and holds me back in so many ways
