Had it 2 years. Indesit one, out of warranty and recently it just sounds like it’s gonna take off

It’s not unbalanced but it only does the loudness on spin. Sounds like there’s a clunking in there too and a high pitched whirring noise. Please tell me that it’s easily fixed 🤦🏻‍♀️

Stop using it until you get it fixed, it might just be a worn bearing which is probably fixable.

Probably a loose bearing

Bearings have probably gone. We had ours repaired last month as it was making an awful racket, had to have a new drum

Redshoeblueshoe · 05/04/2023 20:26

Well that's solved a mystery for me. That's what mine is doing

Bearings are going. You could hear ours from the bottom of the garden. Got a new Samsung and it's virtually silent (except for the lengthy tune it plays when it's finished a load and wants a round of applause).
