Ideas for decorating rental has with woodchip walls?

Just that, really. We rent, no chance of buying or even moving any time soon. My daughter's room just feels so lifeless as the walls are off-white, heavily painted, and woodchip. I don't think we can repaper without getting rid of the woodchip, we aren't allowed (and couldn't afford) to strip it back ourselves, and buying stickers etc. doesn't work because it's not a flat surface. Any ideas?

If you're not allowed to strip the woodchip (it comes off easily with a sponge and warm water) and repaper/paint, then you can cover it with a wall hanging - some pretty fabric hung on the wall.

Every student rental I had, we hung sari fabric on the walls for this reason! Beautiful colours/patterns, light enough to be able to fix up with minor tacks/adhesives, to reduce the patch up job we'd need to do when we left.

We have woodchip all upstairs, ugh moved into an old house and couldn't afford to plaster the upstairs too.

However, we've painted it jasmine white and it actually looks so much better than it would color.
It's a soft white, then added in colour thorough decoration greens etc
Actually looks nice! And it's less noticeable this colour

Hope this helps

Hang huge thin scarves, blankets, wraps, fairy lights, mandalas

Shelves with books

Use a chalky finish / dead flat paint.
You can also get some easy peel wallpaper than can go over the woodchip, which you could then remove when you leave.
