In 1980s, in yr4 at a Surrey primary school, we went on a residential trip. I've spent about 10 years trying to find the name of the place - No reason, just curious, but it's driving me mad!
This is what I remember:
-Went over Severn bridge
-Looked round a castle (poss chepstow or tintern abbey?)
-There was a main building with tuck shop
-Bedrooms were in a long corridor in a separate building that had been built into the hill/roof covered in grass
-There was a poisonous plant in the garden that would burn you (,hogweed maybe?)
-we went past a swimming pool with 60s signage and the L had fallen off, causing much hilarity on the coach.
I now live nearish Forest of Dean and imagine it must have been near there but still not found the actual place (it's not Deanfields).
Can anyone put me out of my misery?!
