This is just terrible!! Where was the pain relief ?!

I don't understand how this could have happened? Why wasn't the mother given adequate pain relief? How long does it take to give an epidural? I had only gas and air in my labour and I thought that wasn't enough...

It’s always been bad at my local hospital for pain relief infact terrible for being brushed off!

I really do think this gas and air business is completely ott! They should be ensuring adequate pain relief is met but they never bother infact I had a daughter 2020 and after non stop gallstones 3rd trimester attack after attack and a 36 hour long attack before I was induced at 38 weeks after not sleeping for 4 days straight! I requested a epidural and they argued to absolute toss about it until DH stepped in.

The argument they had was I had already given birth without it before 👀 I had to sit for a hour arguing with a consultant back and forth my reasonings for wanting one suffering with extreme pain for 10 weeks should of been enough imo, it was gross looking back I couldn’t wait to leave after having my baby.
