This tweet was WhatsApped to me today. Irish Minister for Childen Roderic O Gorman tweeted there would be no lgb without the t. I have gay friends who are very upset with the Gender Recognition Act in Ireland & they are being called Transphobic as they do not want to date transwomen. Roderic o Gormans tweet has bunched lgb with t. The comments under the post say it all. Not one comment of support for him.. As a gay man himself he really is out of step with the gay community in Ireland.

I'm a constituent of his. I've always quite liked him but I don't really agree with this.

I have always wondered why everything is lumped together. In the LGBTQ ++++++ world.
Being LGB is about sexuality.
T is gender identity. I suppose they are adjacent to each other but not the same thing at all.

There can be no politicians without voters. Hopefully his constituents remember this tweet and vote accordingly

@gabsdot45 I don't think he'll be voted back in. The gay community are a large share of the demographic & they are seriously pissed off at the Gender Equality Act violating their rights too..
