I want to get a newer brush now, one that says they give more of a professional dentist clean. Any recommendation please?

I like Philips sonicare. You can get all sorts of levels of price, but I have the cheaper end £45 ish and AFAIK it doesn't do any less than DH's which was more expensive.

It starts off with a less intense setting for newbies to get you used to the vibrations. But its no problem and then it becomes your normal.

Philip's Sonicare but the cheaper end as the tech on the more expensive ones is crap and they break quickly. Or a week after the guarantee expires. If you can wait a bit keep an eye on the prices in Boots, they really fluctuate - £300 one week then reduced to £99 the next for the same model.

Definitely recommend sonicare. I have historic gum disease issues and have to be fastidious about oral hygiene. Got a sonicare a few years ago and it's really helped. When I go to the hygienist I have hardly any plaque at all because the sonicare just blasts it away....

Would recommend Philips Sonicare for general brushing but I also have a very basic battery operated Oral B handle to use with their tiny interdental head for cleaning pockets.
Shop around. As a previous poster said there is always an offer at Boots, Amazon, Superdrug.
The last time mine needed replacement I bought the Sonicare replacement handle only as I had no shortage of heads chargers and hard plastic travel cases. Can’t remember if I bought on Amazon or Ebay but I think it cost £30 and it is still going strong 3 years on.
It also inspired me to declutter and clear out all the brand new unused Sonicare accessories that the family had accumulated over the years which I sold on Ebay.

Oral b io

Oral B io is the new gold standard.
Its better than sonicare which is still a good choice and better than the other oral b electric brushes.
My hygenist saw marked improvement in my gum health When i switch to the io from sonicare

That's what I need? What's the model number please?
