To be sick of working Sundays

I work every Sunday as we're unable to get childcare through the week. It means I miss a weekend day with my eldest school age DC.
I like the job but hate working every single Sunday. I could do every other but then I'm losing money.
Anyone else been in a similar position?

I worked weekends and evenings because it meant we didn't have to use much childcare (DH on 9-5). Once DC started school I really felt like I (and they) were missing out on time together. I found a new job 9-5 3 days a week which meant they had to go to after school and breakfast clubs, but so did lots of their friends and at it was worth it for the time we had back at weekends

I work every Saturday but my kids have grown up now. I would've hated it when they were younger.

I've worked every Sunday for the last 8 years, apart from a few that I've booked off for annual leave, for the same reason as you. In my current job the hourly rate is much higher than normal as well so I try and do as long a shift as I can. But yes it does mean sacrificing family time and I often spend most of Saturday with Sunday at the forefront of my mind. It's crap but it's necessary and it won't be forever.

I worked weekend nights when my dses were little. It’s brutal and takes it’s toll but for us, it wasn’t forever and i changed to weekday nights when my youngest went to pre school.

I think you need a plan for how or when it will end. Feels easier when there is an end point, even if it’s some time away.

I work weekends and evenings, nature of my job! It's my own business so I have some flexibility.
