Eyebrow Razor for upper lip

Apologies if AIBU to ask this but need quick replies as DD (17) is going to use an Eyebrow/facial women’s small razor device on her upper lip this evening. Does anyone here use anything like this? It’s not like a man’s razor and she says several of her friends use them.

I’m urging her against it as have visions of her having to use it for the rest of her life. Growing back stubble or thicker hair. Ideally I’d rather she wait so that we can investigate best hair removal methods but she’s adamant this is fine.

Any thoughts? Does anyone else use these?

Something like this is less likely to end in cuts.

I am a beauty therapist and even I thought this was true for a long time.
It's not. These days I shave my upper lip and sideburns with a regular (fresh) leg razor. I can't wax because of retinoid use. It's absolutely fine. Once a fortnight, great results. I do my arms while I'm at it now

Must depend on skin and hair type I've never had hair grow back more coarse or stubbly
