Dh is snoring and even worse, twitching
Dds room is empty as she's away at uni. Its a bit cold in there and I'll miss my bed but need sleep.

Go for it, I would

Go for it. My DH is the same with the snoring and twitching. What’s with the twitching? I swear I don’t twitch, is it a male affliction? FWIW DH and I have happily slept in separate rooms for 4 years now and we both sleep so much better.

Plit · 20/03/2023 00:18

I'm there! And forgot that dd had a small electric blanket on her bed!

Enjoy!

Why is that even a question? But he’s the one snoring - tell him to fuck off to a spare room.

Anyone who has a snoring partner (let alone a twitching one) and a spare room who doesn't use it is bonkers.

Of course YANBU, especially if it's got an electric blanket.

No, I twitch too. Blush I’m especially prone to hypnic jerks, those massive jolts in the early stages of sleep when your brain freaks out and tries to boot you awake again. I always feel awful because I know it’s startling to sleep next to someone who suddenly jerks like that.

OP, electric blankets are the best and I would be finding more excuses to sleep in there. Grin

Do you really need permission??? Ask yourself why.

I think it’s fine. I’m heavily preg right now and struggling to sleep. DH snores, and it was driving me mad. He’s in the spare room for now 😅 We just get back into bed together in the morning for a cuddle. Honestly I’m loving having a bed to myself.
