To think internet provider technician is fobbing me off?

We had out Internet 'upgraded' this week and it's still not working. They installed a new fiber box thingy on the wall and despite many hours of troubleshooting there is no internet connection.

Today the very 'helpful' bloke on the phone has told me there is nothing else they can do and I have to wait 3 days to see if their final fix of reconnecting the line works, because it can take up to 72 hours, before he can escalate the problem further.

Aibu to think he just got fed up of me being on the phone trying unsuccessfully to resolve the issue and is fobbing me off. If I lived in the middle of the jungle then yes it may take 72 hours to sort something out but I live in a suburban area of the UK waiting 72 hours is nonsense isn't it...
