To want to change jobs?

I went back to work early from Mat leave and they have been extremely accommodating to working around me I have full flexibility and even choose my own shifts (my partner works different shifts every week and baby is only 7mo)

I've been at this job for many years now and worked my way up however, the Manager who was there for song long moved up & out which meant two other members of staff, who happen to be best friends, moved up as well, one of them is the main manager and their friend is the assistant manager.

I get along with them very well as friends but to work with is an absolute nightmare! There's continuous micromanaging towards the rest of the management (there's 6 in the management team including them) they have one rule for them and different rule for us, I feel like I'm constantly on eggshells around them in regards to what can be done and what can't be and just don't ever feel like they're being team players.

I really enjoy my job and the rest of the team and also the pay is great but the negativity is really starting to get to me, no matter how well you do, how well the figures are, absolutely nothing is good enough for either of them.

Like I said I enjoy working there and the flexibility and pay is great but is it worth me starting to resent the pair of them who I am genuinely friends with? To risk going to another job where the flexibility may not be so good? Dreading waking up to negative messages which can affect the day?

Hello….. you describe many positives to your job and flexibility is huge with family in mind. However I understand how these things can grate over time! I have found writing a pros and cons list and referring back to that in stressful times …I don’t promote staying in an unhappy environment but I do speak with an air of caution that it can be out of the frying pan and into the fire! . Maybe offset the negativity you hear with your own positive messages some can get sent to your email daily . X
