I'm not sure why this is so hard? I've had a look at the MN page here www.mumsnet.com/reviews/baby-monitors but the best 2 cam one doesn't have wifi or an app.

I'm looking for a two camera vidio baby monitor that is easy to set up, has movable cameras, "night vision" and a separate screen plus app/remote capability to access on phone.

Does this exist? Price not important if it's good.

@FeeFiFoFumble or anyone who has KODAK Cherish C525P Smart Baby Monitor

does the KODAK Cherish C125P Standalone Baby Camera - White connect to it?

I'm googling furiously but can't find a definitive answer.

If I want two cameras do I need two of the cherish C525P or do I need one of that and one of the C125P standalone baby camera.

I'll keep looking but thought I'd aske here in case anyone has done it?

Yes appears to be the answer. I think I'm going to risk it and buy this Cherish one.

Yes you can, it's an "add on" to any cherish monitor

Albta · 15/05/2023 16:12

We have the Kodak c525P - only one - but you can add more cameras.
The camera can be moved via the parent unit (I’m not sure if you can do on the app - I can check later if it matters)

It has a “parent” unit screen thing which doesn’t require WiFi and also you can connect to wifi so you can view on phone app (I don’t know if you can also connect parent unit to wifi if you want to use it further away iyswim).

It’s fine, not amazing, can be a bit of a lag on the wifi.

like you i have spent hours reading awful reviews of baby cameras and this was the best I could find to tick my requirements.

MyCousinsNotVinny · 15/05/2023 16:23

thanks both @Albta and @AnnaBegins

I may live to regret this given it is a discontinued product but I've bitten the bullet and bought a Cherish.

@FeeFiFoFumble @AnnaBegins @Albta

An almighty THANK YOU for recommending the Kodak Cherish!! It is a thing of wonder and EXACTLY what I was looking for. I'm so grateful.

Because it is discontinued I would never have bought it or thought to search for where to buy it if you hadn't been so positive about it on this thread.

I only hope that the discontinued fact doesn't mean that the app disappears from use/fails for lack of updating in the near future but the direct connection monitor screen should still work I suppose even if that does happen.

I can't thank you enough. I had spent hours looking for something like this and thought it was non-existent.

Having now set it all up, I really am totally perplexed as to why this would be discontinued as it looks to me like a really awesome product.

It maybe that I am over-excited because I'd basically given up so I also owe a huge thank you to @MariaDingbat for reviving this thread

I have to say thank you to @FeeFiFoFumble @AnnaBegins and @Albta for the Kodak recommendation and @MyCousinsNotVinny for starting this thread too. I just nabbed a Cherish set with 3 cameras on Gumtree for £75!!! It exactly what we were looking for and we can use the 3rd camera for when we are visiting. Thanks everyone!

MyCousinsNotVinny · 18/05/2023 15:30

@MariaDingbat

If you have the 525P one the user manual is here - I'd just had a rootle round to find it so thought maybe helpful.

Try Nooie cameras - there are loads of different ones you can choose from and all connect to the same account on the app. We had a basic one for our bedroom when LO was in the next to me and a 360 rotating one for her room. We love them, fairly cheap compared to others we’ve seen and super easy to set up multiple cameras/log in when away from home to watch them sleep ☺️

AnnaBegins · 19/05/2023 20:22

Hooray! So pleased for you both! We use our 3rd camera as a "car cam" now my kids are slightly older, so if they fall asleep in the car we can leave them there on the driveway (secure and at the back of the house) connected to the monitor for a quick half hour snooze!

Sulkyatforty · 12/06/2023 06:50

Also wondering if anyone found anything here!? My BT video monitor from 6 years ago fitted all the options but is now discontinued and one of our cameras is broken. If cameras over Wi-Fi isn’t secure then what is an alternative!? Happy to have normal indoor security cameras and buy a cheap tablet because whilst
i would be happy to have app on my phone I realised babysitters / grandparents wouldn’t have it

MyCousinsNotVinny · 12/06/2023 11:36

This was my thread and I got the Kodak Cherish one as above ^ even though it was discontinued you can still buy it at various places and you can still download the app.

I am really happy with it and couldn't recommend it enough.

It has a "home"mode so you can connect directly to the monitor inside the house without using WiFi but also has a wifi mode. So Grandparents would be ok as you can just give them the monitor screen.

For the life of me, I have zero idea why this product was discontinued as it is fantastasic. It has everything I wanted:

can connect multiple cameras to it,
camera can be moved and zoomed remotely,
can have split screen to monitor two children in different rooms.
camera quality and night vision quality is great
has a mini monitor so you don't need to tie up your phone
also has an app so you can access if you are elsewhere/out of the house/away.
works with both wifi or internally with a direct connection
can set movement sensitivity to low/med/high and set a zone to check for movement.

in short it is a great product and thanks to everyone who suggested it because I wish I'd found it before.

oh - and it offers options to make the wifi more secure like faceid or two factor authentication.

For anyone coming across this thread, Kodak have now turned the baby monitor app off permanently. My parent unit has just died too so the Kodak Cherish cameras are quite useless unfortunately and the hunt begins again. Incredibly frustrating as it was a great system and exactly what I was looking for.

Currentlexpectingbabyno2 · 14/03/2024 06:09

Hey, thanks for this thread! I'm currently expecting my second child and I have the BT camera but they have been discontinued!
I believe the Kodak is useless now?
Is there any chance anyone has come across this camera?? I am looking for the same;
-x2 cameras
-split screen monitor
-smart connection (can connect to phone accessible anywhere around the world)

Is anyone at all has managed to find one please do let me know, I am going crazyyyy trying to look for one!!

Currentlexpectingbabyno2 · 14/03/2024 13:40

Thank you! The only issue I have with this camera is it only support 2.4GHz Wi-Fi not 5GHz Wi-Fi and my WiFi is 5GHz
