Husband and I booked a last minute holiday in the sunshine. Due to go on Thursday.
just read lots of articles about a travel warning due to sickness bug at this hotel / destination that’s affected lots of people.
I didn’t see any of this before booking (idiot that I didn’t do my research) and now not sure it’s wise to go.

would you cancel? Can you swap holidays a day before going? Help please

Have you spoken to the agent you booked with or holiday provider? I'm not sure anyone can advise you really.

What does it say on the terms and conditions about cancelling this close to departure?

Travel insurance won't cover it I presume.

This exact scenario happened to my husband and I. I rang the travel agent (Thomson then). They said I could change hotel but for eye watering ‘admin costs’.

The reviews were absolutely terrible, people dropping like flies, vomiting in the pool and people on drips in reception.

We risked it as we couldn’t afford to change it at the time. In reality the hotel was beautiful, no evidence of said bug. It was one of our best holidays yet.

Hope it’s the same experience for you!

Just take medication (immodium, dyralite, etc) stay away from half cooked food, and ice cubes. Then have a fab holiday
