How do you feel on day 10 - 12 of your menstrual cycle? I'm in so much discomfort

I'm used to a bit of mid cycle pain around ovulation, but that's been getting worse recently. Normally lasts about a day, unpleasantly crampy with some bloating and heaviness.

Over the last few days though it's on another level and I'm getting a little alarmed. I have a constant heavy feeling with pressure, legs feel strange the way the do before a period etc. I just had a transvaginal scan before Christmas because I do get horrendous period pain that makes me throw up etc.

I also sort of feel like it's too early in the cycle for this as it's normally about 30 days long. I know our cycles can change though over the years.

Does anyone else experience this sort of thing?

Some months I have awful bloating/cramps /pain at ovulation. It can have me literally unable to stand up straight. The first time it happened I actually went to A&E because I didn't know what on earth was happening to me and after many tests they told me it was the cyst that forms around the egg bursting and the fluid expelled putting pressure on my abdomen before it gets reabsorbed into the body. I don't get it every cycle and when I do it lasts about 24 hours.

What did the scan show OP?

Been reading up about similar symptoms for DD.

If the pain is caused by cysts - they do not always show up on a scan as they come and go. DD is finding taking the mini pill without a break quite good so far (2 months in) as it supresses ov and therefore no cysts form.

My scan showed absolutely nothing strange, which was obviously good.

My doctor wanted it to be just after the very end of my period though as she said that's when they could get the clearest look at the uterus. So I wonder if the scan was today for example would things look different.

I get this every month now. Its got much worse since having my second child. Mine is really sharp pains and bad bloating. I always think its an evolutionary blunder as the very last thing I feel like doing with it is having sex.
Does anyone else find it painful to sit down?

I get similar every month in the week leading up to ovulation. I have no advice but you do have my sympathy, it’s awful.

I get this, only started last couple of years in my early forties. I too went to a and e because the pain was so bad one month. Mines always day 13, but this was day 16 which was what worried me too. Period was 28 days as usual.

Awaiting a scan now.
