DPD are rubbish and frustrating to deal with

I'm absolutely furious with DPD. I had an email from them saying I had requested a parcel to be delivered to a pick up point. I have requested no such thing! I didn't even have any communication from them saying that the parcel was being delivered today.

I phoned them and it was like banging my head against a brick wall. They insisted that I had requested it. The parcel will be sent back to the depot then delivered to the shop on Monday.

The thing is, these are live plants so could be compromised by such a delay. I just don't understand how they can insist I have made a request to not deliver to me when I havent.

I feel your pain. I've had 3 deliveries this past 10 days, each time I've been in as I work from home then got an email saying sorry no one was in & they are delivering to the local post office. No attempts have been made I have cctv, no apology or explanation why it happens! Shambles! It's a huge pain for me to get to the post office during the day

Totally. Had a terrible time with them in October or so. I had to wait in for them on 7 separate occasions for the same collection.

Their drivers kept sending me photos of other peoples houses ( in the vicinity but not on my road) and saying that they had tried and missed me.

Customer Service was shite. I ended up even speaking to the local depot and that didn't help either.

@Movinghouseatlast I've just had the exact thing happen today - a sorry we missed you card despite being in, and an email saying the item will be delivered to a random Coop 12 miles away ''as requested''!!!
Not only did DPD not turn up today, I certainly didn't request a pick up point, and can't get through to anyone - or get to the random Coop as I don't drive!
Did your plants get delivered to your home in the end, or did you have to go to the depot?

I rang DPD and asked to speak to a supervisor. In the end they made the driver come back and deliver them. I had to really push for thst though.

Thank you!
I've just got the number of the local depot so I'll ring them tomorrow x
Absolutely ridiculous that they can get away with fobbing people off with pick up points rather than delivery addresses!
