Not an AIBU - sorry, but can I ask for recommendations for your lifesaver waterproof coat? Think standing on sidelines in a freezing downpour type coat….?

Didriksons. Bought one earlier this winter and it keeps me warm on the touch lines every weekend. Also went for a walk in it in the rain with no brolly and the rain just hit it and ran off so waterproof and warm.

Arcteryx. Worth the money. Absolutely impermeable. You wanted taped seams and check the hydrostatic head. Anything below 10000 don’t bother with

Bought a seasalt Janelle, in long (I’m 5’8) and I love that it comes down past the knees and has zip pockets. With wellies I would be completely covered, seems waterproof so far. Not warm enough for super windy weather wintry weather for me, i get very cold. I pop a thin primark down jacket underneath and that does the trick, so hoping it will work on its own for mild but wet weather or going for walks.

I've got a Seasalt Plant Hunter, knee length and very very waterproof if not the most stylish coat out there. I wear this most days dog walking, and you don't need waterproof trousers as it just drips onto your wellies... but I have got some Acai outdoor trousers if it's really pissing down.

I've also got a Barbour Beadnell wax jacket which very wind and waterproof but not warm so you need to size up to allow for a thick jumper or fleece underneath and it's not terribly long.

I'd recommend Didriksons too, I work as a gardener and this is the only brand that has remained waterproof longer than a year.

I've got a Seasalt Janelle. Got it for school run bjt I live in it. Wouldn't do for warmer weather as it's padded but for milder winter days it's fine with a t shirt and can layer up for colder weather. Totally rain proof so far. Can't fault it!

Seasalt Janelle great, warm and waterproof.
