Security concerns on Netflix account - AIBU to be worried ?

Someone just changed my email and phone number on my Netflix account and a charge of £15 has been taken out ! I unsubscribed from Netflix a few months ago and definitely haven't subscribed again ! It's unsettled me how easy it was for them to do this ! Luckily I think it's been sorted but still ! I never give details to unsolicited emails even if it looks authentic so I'm so careful very best and braces !

Search for the website
Have I been pwned?
It will show you if your password was compromised in a data breech and you can set up alerts. The email addresses and passwords breeched get sold/published and you'll get people trying the password to see if it's been used for other accounts too. Set up 2 factor authentication on everything possible and try not to use the same password on different accounts.

When you unsubscribe delete your payment details from Netflix account so this can't happen again.

Argh so annoying but at least you found out. I had it happen with my Deliveroo account. They ordered crates of drinks to my house and I found them on doorstep in morning along with missed calls from the driver was v weird.

Ah sorry to hear that - I've never actually used Deliveroo believe it or not - but - yes these things are a nightmare !
