You helped me with a travel cup before, can you again?

I had a previous thread looking for a travel cup for my commute that could go in my bag and not leak even if upside down. I was recommended a Contigo and it's brilliant.
I now want one for cold drinks in the style of the stanley cup type with a straw . But again, I'd like it to be able to be bashed in a bag without leaking. Does it exist? I have a chillys bottle but the neck is narrow for putting ice in. I thought about getting a second contigo but I'd want it a bit bigger for a cold drink and I would like a straw too. Anyone got what I'm looking for?

You can get ice cube trays shaped for reusable bottles.

Ourshoddyhouse · 05/03/2023 21:00

Ice cube tray

Obviously doesn't solve the straw issue though

Slacktacular · 05/03/2023 21:01

Klean Kanteen every time. When I bought mine about 3 yrs ago they didn’t make a flip straw lid so I bought that from One Green Bottle and it fits perfectly. They might do their own flip top spout and straw lid now though. All my Klean Kanteen stuff is as good as new and I use the water bottle and coffee cup almost every day

dementedpixie · 05/03/2023 21:02

SHO does cups with straws. We have food flasks so don't know what the cups are like

BaileysBreakfast · 05/03/2023 21:04

Klean kanteen but get the plain stainless steel one as the paint peels on the coloured ones. Mine are definitely not like new still! But have been chucked around by the DC and dishwashed etc. The insulated ones are excellent although my large one kind of chucks water at my face when it has ice in there. Straw lid sounds like that might solve that problem

Floofsquidge · 05/03/2023 21:04

Try YETI. Not cheap but brilliant. Ice cubes stay intact for hours they're that well insulated.

The Stanley cup with the straw is spelled proof if you take out the straw and turn the little plastic thingy around it covers up the hole

steff13 · 05/03/2023 21:06

Spill proof

Hawkins003 · 05/03/2023 21:10

Not sure at the moment, although those military style water bottles are quite good

FatAgainItsLettuceTime · 05/03/2023 21:10

Contigo do water bottles too. I have the auto pop, doesn't have a straw because I don't like them but they have others that do.

Is this a weird advert for Contigo, as they seem to be what you are looking for.

My sho bottle can fit ice in (I buy it in Tesco) and I'm sure chillys are the same size.

Which Coffee cup did you go for?

Even if it went upside down in my bag?
This is the shape I like best but not sure on leaks

Not completely upside down no. Have you looked at a Tervis water bottle?

This one is 30 oz. I didn't attach a link because I'm in the US.

starfishmummy · 05/03/2023 23:38

Have a look in camping shops, they usually have a wide choice and you can see what they are like before you buy.

Murdoch1949 · 06/03/2023 01:14

You can get ice cube trays that mould long, thin cubes for bottles. They fit into the glass bottles with metal clip lids that people, me, use for water in fridge.

Yes, it's a Contigo.

ASDA sell them. It comes apart to go in the dishwasher which is useful as ones I've had that don't end up with some yucky black stuff.

I really like the stanley cup shape and the removable straw. Maybe I'm looking for the impossible
