To ask for best short haul beaches?

Looking for a short haul destination with a beautiful beach for our 10 year wedding anniversary - any recommendations?

San Sebastian. Amazing food too.

There are supposedly 365 beaches in Menorca, and many are really lovely.
Most resorts are on or near a nice beach, and there are some quite isolated, beautiful beaches that you can walk to (some are quite a hike, but well worth it). Several have been compared to beaches in the Caribbean.

Blackpool?

Gozo - just off Malta, lovely island.

Formentera. Stunning. Failing that the other Balearics or Corsica/Sardinia.

Fuerteventura. It's all about the beaches there.

Skiathos in Greece, loads of lovely sandy beaches

Greece. All day every day.
We’ve had some particularly spectacular (and fairly quiet) ones in Skiathos, Skopelos, Crete, Zakinthos, Naxos, and Rhodes. The mainland also has beautiful ones, especially on the Peloponnese.

Formentera is amazing!

The two best beaches I've seen in the sense of miles and miles of white sand are Alvor in the Algarve and Corralejo Fuertaventura.
