To have called the police on my neighbours?

My Neighbours are always rowing. I can’t hear what the rows are about because they’re not English and so all I can hear is them shouting at one another.
Anyway this morning they started rowing fairly early, but a full blown screaming match, with banging and crashing and going on for hours. So I called the police.

They actually came round pretty quickly, and all seems to have calmed down.

But now I’m second guessing myself as to whether I did the right thing.

DP says I did, my mum said I shouldn’t get involved.

So AIBU?

No you did the right thing to report it and you can't control the outcome.

You should have called them earlier.

Absolutely the right thing, if it's DV it's good they are now on the police radar and might seek support and if nothing else it's anti social behaviour and it's not ok.

Of course you did the right thing. If there’s abuse going on, you’re helping to document and hopefully prevent it.

Well, everything has been completely quiet since the police went.

The house is currently for sale, I’m hoping that it’s because they’re splitting up, but there’s no way of knowing that as they don’t generally talk to any of the neighbours.
