Solicitor told me I would end up paying my DH spousal support with our current disparity in wage. And I should stall my career and persuade him to earn more (he could if he wanted) and I should do that now before filing for divorce if possible
Is that morally off? He's not a nice man to me at all but he earns very little and no doubt will have our kids at least some of the time. The thought of paying him money each month isn't great but doesn't feel right to play tactics to make the dad of my kids struggle. I want my kids to be comfortable.
Thoughts? Am I being naive?
