Feel bad I didn't realise it was this sooner...but DD has clearly had this.Saturday night she woke up with a fever, had been saying intermittently over the weekend that her throat hurt (although wasn't in agony with it, so didn't check it) and she also developed some impetigo like skin sores and a mild rash on her lower tummy/upper groin area (which thinking about it was the sandpaper rash) but she didn't seem consistently unwell in herself, and all these symptoms have now subsided.
She has also been generally irritable, more sensitive and tireder than usual and had a runny nose (all still ongoing) but other than that fine.
I became quite unwell yesterday with what is likely strep A (killer sore throat, difficulty swallowing, redness and white spots on tonsils,body/head aches, fever and chills and intense lethargy) I am currently in the call queue for our doctors to try get an appt and hopefully some antibiotics, but my question is should I also still be pushing for some for DD? I read that Rheumatic fever can develop if scarlett fever/strep A aren't treated properly, so abit worried about the risk of that.
