Dh is on holiday with the children until tomorrow afternoon. I can't think what to do with myself?

Any ideas?

Thank you

I always have a long soak, some nice food and enjoy having the tv for once!

Commonsensitivity · 25/02/2023 20:49

Thanks @LuckyCharm9 i have done all that. Now not sure what to do next. Perhaps watch a film.

Out for coffee or lunch? Anywhere on your own terms for peaceful, quiet bliss?

TheHillsAreAliveWithTheSoundOfMystery · 25/02/2023 20:51

Cinema?

wateraddict · 25/02/2023 20:53

Ah for right now?! Sorry! More movies and chocolate would be my vote if you have some.

I find it bizarre that a grown woman can't fill an evening ... surely there's things you like to do ... read, eat, watch tv, listen to music, phone a friend, spend the whole evening on Mumsnet, have a bath .. just have an early night? I love evenings - and whole days to myself - don't get enough now my DH is retired but thankfully he's out tonight with friends watching the rugby and having a few beers. Often if he's home I just disappear to my bedroom on my own to get time to myself Grin.

Enjoy the peace and quiet. Read a book, drink wine, eat food you love but don't normally have when cooking for h and kids. Have a lie in and a nice walk or go to gym. Go to some shops you don't get chance to go to. Meet friends, boozy lunch and an afternoon nap!

Watch 'You' on Netflix!

Beautifulcoconuts · 25/02/2023 21:04

Same!! I'm at a loss 😂

DinosaurBaby · 25/02/2023 21:09

Yup, masturbate. Lots.

Thats the thing. The possibilities are endless and so it's slightly impossible to decide what to do in this small window of freedom.

What are your interests and hobbies. Surely it makes sense to do those.

FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee · 25/02/2023 21:33

I'm in the opposite situation. My husband is away and I've been left with both kids. It's not fun.

I want to watch Lou on Netflix. Can you watch it and let me know if it's any good?

Commonsensitivity · 25/02/2023 22:07

@FuckoffeeBeforeCoffee hopefully it's now their bedtime and you get to watch the film!
