They are hugely mismatched as a couple but he’s stepped up since Justin got more batshit (at last). Like yesterday’s episode where he wouldn’t leave Daisy alone with Justin in the pub. Finally he gets it!!

I just see them as a totally mismatched couple. She is vacuous, just interested in clicks on her social media, blagging freebies etc, while he wants to read a good book.

I agree with you Op - he's vile and Daisy is far too good for him. I couldn't believe she forgave him for all the nasty stuff he said to her when he thought she'd leaked the sex worker stuff online (when it was Max) as that showed his true opinion of her. I love Daisy, materialistic as she may be, as she's got character.

In as much as I give it it headspace I like them as a couple.

That's true - but he also took Daisy's phone, promised not to post anything, and then did so about five minutes later.

His fiancée is being stalked by another man. Daniel is 'helping' by taking her phone and messing about with her social media feeds despite promising not to. He also enjoys telling her, at every available opportunity, that her career isn't real, it's shallow etc. That's the main crux of his storyline at the moment.

Daisy's a great character. Daniel is an arsehole, but that's fine in that soaps need them. What I don't understand is how anyone thinks his behaviour is acceptable in a relationship.
