Can someone explain to me how you sell on Vinted

So I have downloaded the app etc. Seems simple but how does the shipping work? Do you have to include shipping in your list price it doesn't look like it...does the buyer decide afterwards how they want it shipped and then pay it? Just don't want to mess up and make no profit as i don't include shipping in the right place, i have tried to find the answer on there but am unsure.

You don’t have to include shipping.
the buyer picks an option and pays for it.
you get instructions on where/how to print a shipping label.

Shipping is added after. The buyer chooses the shipping option, from the options you offer. On your settings you can select which shipping options you would like to offer.

For each item you then need to say if it will be a small, medium or large parcel and it works out the shipping for you.

Thanks. I was worrying as my DD started selling Depop and didn't include selling and ended up making about 10p as she had forgotten to add it.

Do remember to go into your settings and choose the postal options you can offer. I.e if you don't have a printer then turn off paper label option, I turned off Inpost as an option as there's nowhere near me that I can drop that off. Most people I sell to seem to opt for Evri.

Nsws2015 · 24/02/2023 13:04

Evri you need to be able to print a label, yodel gives you the option to have a label printed in store when you drop it off, you just need to show them the qr code. Myself and my daughter sell regularly so I invested in a thermal printer and it's been great, I pack up what I've sold and print a label and done. Soooo handy when I had 13 parcels to send last week!

I don't use royal mail anymore as their parcel sizes don't match up with the costs, so I lost out postage wise, plus it doesn't update to delivered like evri and yodel do.

I've been selling my sons clothes on there recently, I have all his stuff since he was a baby and he's almost 3 🙈 I've been selling cheap cos I just want rid and its been going in bundles mainly!

I usually sell stuff on EBay but thinking of trying Vinted myself - bit of a technophobe but sounds straightforward - will give it a go this weekend😀

JustAnotherDayWorkingAtHome · 24/02/2023 13:51

So do you have to put in your parcel size when you list the item so that vinted knows what the postage charge will be?

Hi I have sold loads on Vinted it’s so easy , yes Vinted recommend the size of the parcel just pack and post . I do have to use my local library sometimes to print labels off for evri . But you do have the options of how u want to post your parcels . If I can do it anyone can 😂

Yes. When you list an item its literally step by step so you can't miss anything. The only thing you need to set separately is your postage preferences.

This is very timely, I was about the start pretty much an identical post!

Thank you, OP, and other posters, for your advice.
