That our dog loves my DH more than me...

She is happy enough with me, happy to see me, brings me a present...but when dH comes home she turns cartwheels, on walks she's constantly looking back for him...and follows him like a little shadow round the house.

There's a walk she loves near our house, very occasionally she'll go there if it's just me taking her for a walk but usually she digs her paws in and heads in the other direction for a quick sniff and a pee then heads home. With DH she drags him to the special walk....

Who feeds her? That's normally a dog's favourite.

And?

Pretty typical. Dogs choose their special people. Usually connected to food, fuss and training.

Both of my dogs like my dh better than me. It’s because he gets up at 5am to take them out - I think it’s a fair exchange, as I’d much rather stay in bed for another hour (especially in the cold and dark winter).

I have two little anomalies I think and it is amusing although a tad annoying! I walk them, feed them, groom/fuss/tend to their every need , but they are Dads golden girls who look at him in utter adoration whenever he appears…

I think it’s a novelty factor as he’s not around so much so it’s exciting. I WFH and I’m around a lot more so I think I’m just the consistent everyday slave!!

I freely admit our dog loves my DH more than me. No big deal. He's pretty 'equal opportunity' when it comes to snuggles and lap time, but DH is always first choice when we're both sitting down.

And as @BigMadAdrian says, it really works to my advantage since DDog prefers to have DH take him out, walk him, etc.

TBF our dog before this one was 'totally my girl'. So turnabout is fair play.
