Smells OK - but I've got a bit of a cold so can't tell really....

No. Btw, you can’t smell food poisoning bacteria.

Viviennemary · 17/02/2023 12:21

No. Get rid of it.

JMSA · 17/02/2023 12:21

I definitely wouldn't.

PopsicleHustler · 17/02/2023 12:22

No way, I had one yesterday one day out and that's my absolute max. It was a broccollI and cheese quiche. I would never eat quiche Lorraine.

Thelnebriati · 17/02/2023 12:23

You can lose 5lbs fast with the 'shit-yourself-thin' diet but you will put it all back on again as soon as you can keep anything down.

zanahoria · 17/02/2023 12:23

I regularly eat things that are a week past their date but I would be careful with anything containing eggs.

MrsSkylerWhite · 17/02/2023 12:24

No, the bacon will be gone.

crazeecatladee · 17/02/2023 12:28

Providing it has been kept refrigerated, it would probably be ok. If it is just a best before date then that indicates a loss of quality/mouthfeel/texture, rather than a food safety issue. I'd serve it but we have iron guts!

Onnabugeisha · 17/02/2023 12:29

Thing is, fresh foods with meat/eggs don’t have best before dates, they have use by dates.

crazeecatladee · 17/02/2023 12:30

@MrsSkylerWhite bacon is a preserved meat

WhisperingAutistic · 17/02/2023 12:37

I eat some things past their date but I wouldn't risk it with eggs.

Yes it is. Still goes off though, once the pack is opened. Preservation doesn’t work for ever, particularly unsmoked.

blobby10 · 17/02/2023 13:24

If bought, its been kept in the fridge and unopened then yes. If not refrigerated definitely not. If opened and refrigerated - probably as there will be so many preservatives in a bought product. If home made - not sure! Probably but it would depend on how it looked.

Nope

humpty74 · 17/02/2023 13:33

I would, but I'd heat it thoroughly if it was past date rather than just eating from cold.

Diverging · 17/02/2023 13:35

No a quiche with meat would likely be ok a day past but wouldn’t risk 4.
