Posting for traffic.

Woke up this morning felt fine, five mins later I'm sitting on the toilet, sweating profusely, absolutely soaked, felt sick but didn't vomit. Lay on the cold toilet floor and stayed there for maybe 1o mins. My neighbour happened to knock in and couldn't believe the sight of me.

What the heck.

Any other health issues or medications that might be causing it? i.e. high blood pressure, high cholesterol etc?

If you're concerned, maybe try and get a telephone appointment with the GP (and obviously, if any other more concerning symptoms appear, call 111). It's likely to be something and nothing but best to double check as it sounds quite sudden.

This has happened to me a couple of times, it turned out I was in very early stages of pregnancy.

@ForensicFlossy I'm on the contraception injection so pregnancy is unlikely.

God, it was just awful!

This has happened to me on occasion, like sudden onset extreme stomach ache.

I've subsequently realised than I'm gluten intolerant (possibly coeliac). It hasn't happened since I stopped eating gluten, but it only happened on a handful of occasions before then anyway so I can't say there is a definite link.

I think it's either linked to digestion or my period cycle. But it happens so infrequently I've not bothered to follow it up!

It could be hormonal. It does happen during pregnancy and the menopause.

I had this after I had rushed home after giving blood. Taught me a valuable lesson to not overdo it!

Constipation can cause issues like this (also know this from first hand experience).

Seems weird that it just came on so quickly.

Blood pressure for me, happened once in my twenties. Like you I lay on the bathroom floor. Nothing else, no pregnancy and never happened since.

Something similar to this happened to me a few months ago. Was in the shower and suddenly felt really weak, sick, and sweaty. Got out of the shower and was retching but never actually sick and then suddenly had to go to the loo ASAP. I think it was vasovagal syncope caused by the water being too hot and a sudden drop in blood pressure.

Have you had a milky coffee? Having a latte did this to me! Switched to a dairy alternative and am fine now!
