Sounds like you may have an infection. When you need to go suddenly is there a lot ofvurine or just a little? Does it hurt anywhere when you pee?

(Thinking Cystitis)

KangarooKenny · 15/02/2023 14:39

I’d say you need to get a urine test to be sure which bacteria it is

gamerchick · 15/02/2023 14:40

You probably need to get your UTIs seen too, maybe they haven't been clearing up properly. I'd try and see a GP.

OffYouPopNow · 15/02/2023 14:41

It could be another uti. They don’t have to cause burning/stinging etc.
Probably best to speak to practice nurse so a sample can get sent off to make sure you are having the right antibiotics to treat the actual infection you have.

Do you do pelvic floor exercises? Download the NHS squeezy app, it sets reminders for you to do them 3/4 times a day. It’s important to do them daily as the reduction in oestrogen during menopause can cause pelvic floor issues and urinary incontinence. Every woman should be doing their squeezing!

Can be a sign of Parkinson’s, mine was, along with a few other symptoms

Ponoka7 · 15/02/2023 14:50

You need a sample testing. The most likely is a deep infection which is now not causing pain.

It tickles/stings when the wee comes out. Not much is coming out but then il walk away and it feels like I can feel pushing on my bladder when I stand up so need to go again! X

You need antibiotics from the GP

Rebellious23 · 15/02/2023 15:02

Sounds like cystitis- cranberry juice helps but I think you need ABs.

Agree with others first point of call would be gp or walk in centre to dip your urine amongst other considerations. It's not necessarily infection as there are several possible causes including overactive bladder and hormonal changes.

I take it you've not had a back injury recently?

DesertRose64 · 15/02/2023 16:21

Please get it checked out as an increase/urge in urination and a few UTI’s we’re actually a symptom of the ovarian cyst I had developing. I went on to be diagnosed with OC and was asked if I’d had an trouble with my waterworks.
