Ever feel you slipped into a parallel universe? Anyone else fascinated by possibility of other dimensions??

Sometimes, I like to think of a version of myself existing in another reality where my parents are still alive and I struggle less with my disability. Where I can have children of my own. A glittering career. Clearly, I tripped and fell through a crack somewhere into this bleak current reality.

Above is tongue in cheek (borne out of hideous desperation to escape, and no realistic possibilities for my brain to think on!) but the concepts of other dimensions and wormholes are fascinating.

I'd go back to about 2005 if I could and get early intervention for the cancers that eventually kill my parents.

Anyone else enjoy a daydream along these lines?

I feel like Brexit slipped up into the bad alternative dimension (looking at what followed covid etc.)

But that’s probably my feelings influencing that 😅

Have you watched Fringe?

I believe in parallel universes. I think if humans basically came from the ocean and evolved into what we are now, The big bang, the miracle of birth, there's so many things possible. I'm really open minded though. Also who knows what happens after we die? I have a theory that we never really die, we are just constantly living in a different dimension. It could be total bollocks and I'm no scientist. I'm quite spiritual though and like to think there's so much more to the universe we haven't discovered. It is really interesting.
I've never experienced anything myself though and probably sound like a total nutter but I can live with that lol.

This reminds me of The Midnight Library by Matt Haig - if you haven't read it yet, OP, I think you might enjoy it.

Hi Op

Sorry to hear you have obviously been through some real shitty times,

I am sending good wishes that your health struggles will improve ect

I can really relate to how you feel cause I have experienced very similar stuff and it's head fxck really at times,

But I have also come across such unexpected kindness from strangers in regard of my health issues for e.g a few strangers concerned about me slipping on ice whilst walking as I walk with a stick, ect

Have you seen Carnival of soul 1960s film 🎥?

It's a cult genre classic black and white film,

One off film that film director made,

It's about a young female who is the only survivor of a freak accident that tragically killed her friends,

She survivors but very strange things start to happen to her, and around her,

She is stuck in a weird kind of limbo in a Parrell universe,

That doesn't make sense to her to people around her,

It's like she is a bye stander unwittingly in her life/

She acctracts /comes across some quirky characters ,

A couple of creepy ones,

Story line has defined connection to a run down creepy fairground that losed its acctractions draw, eons of years ago,

Interesting ideas 💡 film,

It's comes across as dream like/Surrealism aspects to it , aswell as all too realistic aspects too,

I don't know if you have ever watched Christopher Lee film Black and white films

Hammer Horror black and white films too?

Psychological films black and white colour makes it more creepy too

Very popular films genre at that time too

Hi Op

I feel we are sort of living a parrell universel with all living organisms such as insects world /fungi /tree roots /microscopic life forms of all kinds

Sea world as in what creature/primitive life forms below the vast sea

There could be very basic life forms out there waiting to be discovered in other planters systems
..

PutsFootInIt · 14/02/2023 20:46

I often think 'is this really happening?' 😅

Have you thought about writing about your 'parallel life'?

Goodread1 · 14/02/2023 21:02

Oops sorry I meant parrell universe realities in other planters systems potential is
