Can you wear your old engagement ring?

I have been divorced a few years now. I came across my old engagement ring when cleaning. It's beautiful- I picked it myself and I can't see myself selling it, am I allowed you wear it as just a ring or is that a no no? I do have have a boyfriend so would it be a bit weird to wear it? There's no feelings there connecting to my ex, it's just a lovely piece of jewellery

Wear it on your right hand. If the ex means nothing but you like the ring, I don't see why not - people keep their houses, beds etc!

I wouldn’t, I would sell or have it turned into something else. I would deffo feel odd if my DW wore an old engagement ring!
I had a girlfriend who DID wear hers, and I didn’t like it - though up to her obvs- and if she was asked or complimented on the ring the whole engagement’story’ would come out which always made me feel a little awkward!

I wouldn’t wear it on my ring finger, or ring finger on the other hand. But I would get it stretched to fit my middle finger so that there’s no doubt it was an engagement ring.

I wear my old engagement ring on a chain on my neck. We didn't actually get married but I kept the ring.
DH doesn't mind as I wear his wedding ring and eternity ring too.

Of course you can. It's no good to anyone in a drawer (which is where mine is....as it doesn't fit!!).

I’d probably still wear my engagement ring but like a PP it doesn’t fit and can’t be resized as it has diamonds all the way round. Such a shame just sitting in drawer, probably give it to my daughter when she’s old enough.

I'm definitely going to wear mine. It was my grandma's and means the world to me.

We had it restyled - less diamonds, new setting but I still consider it to be grandma's.

It's in a drawer for now but when the time is right I'll wear it again but on my right hand.
