To eat week old filled tortellini?

FFS, we are away a lot this week so I haven't shopped. Thought I had some fridge packs of filled pasta - spinach and ricotta tortellini but it turns out it says use by 6/2. Can't be eaten can they?😞

I would!

Sniff/taste test

Oysterbabe · 13/02/2023 18:44

I'd eat them 💁

Lucyjane200698 · 13/02/2023 18:45

Sniff test. If it smells and looks fine I'd eat it. I never go by dates lol

Ludo19 · 13/02/2023 18:46

I'm a slave to eating stuff within the best before date, I guess you could chance it. I wouldn't but that's just me 🤷‍♀️

Emmamoo89 · 13/02/2023 18:47

Just smell it

YoBeaches · 13/02/2023 18:51

It's processed food so probably ok you'll know by the smell

So1invictus · 13/02/2023 18:52

If it's a meat one, I wouldn't. Though fresh pasta tends to go mouldy if it's gone off, so if it's not, it should be ok.

GoodChat · 13/02/2023 18:55

I'd eat it as long as it looks ok

QueSyrahSyrah · 13/02/2023 18:57

Some of those pre-filled pastas have a really really long shelf-life anyway, assuming it's a plastic sealed pack supermarket thing, not fresh from a deli counter where it might be less.

I'd sniff it. If it smells alright I'd cook it then sniff it again. If it still smells alright I'd nibble a bit. If it tastes alright I'd scoff it.

IWineAndDontDine · 13/02/2023 19:04

I would so long as the pasta isn't cooked
