Sports generation limited swimming

Hi all - posting here for traffic.

Has anyone used sports generation for their childrens swimming lessons?

We recently did a trial and my child really enjoyed it - but it's so expensive. £28 for a 30min lesson.

Just wanted to double check if anyone has had any dealings with this company and if it's worth the money?

Thanks for your help.

Wow that is a lot ours is 27 a month! Even when we were with puddle ducks that was only £15 a lesson ish. If you can afford it that’s fine but I would shop around!

That is so overpriced, and a lot of the success comes from how your child feels, confidence, ability to follow instructions etc so even if they are the best it doesn't mean they will get them swimming any faster

Be very careful with sports generation.

They take all the money upfront, then if there is a problem with the pool or the teacher can't teach the lesson, you don't get a refund. The "makeup lesson" has to be a lesson another student isn't turning up to or cancels in whatever location / so you get very little notice for your "catch up".

It happened a few times and I was furious as I work FT and we are a very busy family - if the cancellation is at their end, I expect to be able to agree at catch up, or be reimbursed. That's not what their Ts&Cs say though!

1:1 lessons are great for progress, but try asking around for other private teachers without all the BS.

We used a company called swim expert a few years ago for 1:1. It was really good but can't remember prices etc.

Thanks for your help everyone. We've decided to have a look around to try and find something more reasonable.
