I know they can’t help it but this winter it’s one thing after another and I seem to catch it all… how can I stop catching the bugs? Please tell me anything that helps you stay cold free!

simple answer, you can’t, bugs & viruses main ambition is to stay alive whatever? you can only alleviate symptoms

I remember when my DTDs started nursery. We were basically all permanently ill with one thing after another for about 2-3 years!

You have my sympathies. It's the same in my household. In the last 2.5 months we have had that awful cough/cold bug, strep A, Scarlett fever, a vomiting bug, colds and now covid. It's utterly relentless.

How old are the kids? If they are still at the “cough into your eyeballs” stage, there isn’t much you can do.

By the time my daughter was about 3-4, she understood basics like cover your moth, wash your hands when you sneeze or cough, and so on. But also, that was during covid.

Put them/ you in masks. Or in the shed...
joking of course re the shed. Children are walking petri dishes, so you have to teach then good hand hygiene, coughing into hankie/sleeve, tissue disposal, etc

All you can do is boost your own immune system. Lots of fresh fruit & veg, lots of fresh air & exercise, maybe a daily multi/vit

Ugh. I know the feeling. I used to say that I wanted to install a sheep dip at the front door, to get the germs and parasites off my kids before they came into the house.

Spray them with disinfectant & leave them in the garage for a couple of hours after school?
