To be worried about my MRI results

Had an MRI on Tuesday of my cervical spine, following a fall from a horse in November and ongoing numbness in my right hand. They told me I would get the results in about 2 weeks - but I got a text from my GP this afternoon to say he will call me tomorrow morning to discuss my results. AIBU to be worried?!

I had an MRI two weeks ago and got a letter just with a follow up appointment with trauma and orthopaedics for the end of the month. No results in the letter but I’m assuming that’s normal and it’s all fine. I don’t think you can necessarily read into these things.

Thank you @mamabear715
@Namechange456782 i wouldn't mind that, that's what I expected. It's just the call back within 3 days that has scared me

I'd just call the doctors in the morning and request a call back from a doctor to discuss results.

We normally get a call back that morning at our doctors.

Nice to know people are reading the OP 🙄

If it was really urgent, the message would have told you to go to A&E. Try and get some sleep tonight, and the doctor will call you tomorrow. It's worrying when the NHS moves fast, because it's often so so slow, and there's obviously something there. But not something that will kill you, or the message would be "go to a&e now!" They may be waiting to hear from the specialist, and will ring when they have tomorrow.

Try not to get too anxious, but yes, it must have found something. Hope it's something really simple for you.

Thank you @fairypeasant i suppose that is true
