to ask for plot lines for the new Fawlty Towers series

So there's going to be a new series of Fawlty Towers. With John Cleese as the hotel veteran struggling to cope with life in the the 2020s - with his daughter.

Plenty of ideas for plot lines.

So I'd have a student as the housekeeper, someone who is very PC (or woke, to coin a modern phrase)

Basil gets a bad review on Trip Advisor - spends day trying to find out who it was
Basil gets a complaint about not following HR practices.

Guest wants vegan / gluten free / specific request for allergy. It could be a repeat of the 'kipper ' episode

Basil keeps looking for extra guest in a single room as the housekeeper keeps referring to a guest as "they"

I am sure people can keep thinking of plenty more

Basil has to navigate the sensitivities of a non binary guest and of course completely bollocks it up

Non binary guest asks where the toilets are.

A gay couple book a room and the Major is totally unphased by it because he went to public school and was in the army
