To make you aware of the Women’s Aid Expect Respect campaign?

So much horrendous news lately about women suffering at the hands of male violence. It’s not the whole answer, but I do firmly believe we need to get better at teaching our children and young people about what a healthy relationship looks like, what healthy boundaries look like, what the red flags to watch out for are, and that abuse is not love.

If you work in a school, or other role with young people, please take a look at the Expect Respect campaign from Women’s Aid. They offer a free healthy relationships toolkit aimed at ages 4-18 and training for those delivering it.

If you are a parent, please consider making your child’s school (or other setting/ activities) aware that this is something available to them and the children in their care.

I know schools are under enough pressure and there’s not enough time in the day as it is, but this is so important - it would be great if it could reach more young people.
