To feel decadent for buying a reclining sofa?

No idea why the idea has been firmly in my head that a reclining sofa is decadent. But we've just bought one snd I can't wait for it to be delivered.

I expect my mum was sniffy about them in the 90s....

I absolutely love ours.
They are heavy (if you were one of those oddballs who feels the need to move the furniture to vacuum underneath it more than once a year).

But if you can't treat yourself to a bit of decadence later in life, when can you ?

Oooohhh let's see?? We invested in some very beautiful electric recliner sofas last year. They're the best thing we've ever bought!

I never thought I’d buy one as they never looked attractive. But I bought my first one 15 years ago in black leather and fell straight in love with it. It’s nice and plush and I sleep on it all the time. It’s the comfiest sofa I’ve ever slept on, don’t even need a pillow 😂

It has lasted over 15 years and it’s time for a new one( cushions are just now getting flat) and I honestly want to get the same exact one altho I’m one of those people that usually never buys the same thing I’ve already have for a big purchase ( it was about $2k) but will this time. Maybe I will change the color 😂 Enjoy your new reclining sofa!

Last time I went sofa shopping I tried out an electric recliner. Unfortunately as a sufferer of bad motion sickness I nearly puked in the shop! I got a manual one in the end
