to give my partner jobs

I am currently on mat leave but due to go back to work this summer. My partner works long hours 5/6 days a week. He leaves before we wake and gets home at 9pm or later.

I currently do everything at home and to do with baby, apart from food shopping and taking out the bins that my partner sometimes does.

I am worried that as I am going back to work and work less hours than he does, that I will be still being housewife and working at the same time.

I was thinking of jobs that could be his but I think they would wake us up (ie dishwasher). I think it’s better to own a task fully from beginning to end but I can’t think of any that would really qualify.

Given his long hours, is it unreasonable to expect him to share the house/family work more? or am I giving him leave to be lazy (he is a bit lazy)

Of course he needs to contribute to the household, he still should be now!

He could do washing, cleaning rye bathroom/kitchen/empty bins? Just as a starter - no reason why he couldn’t do at of this.
