If you take vitamin supplements have you noticed a difference in how you feel?

How old are you ? The ones I take are for peri menopause symptoms.

NotAnotherTaco · 05/02/2023 16:33

Biotin, for hair after menopause.... it's made a very noticeable difference

Bubblebubblebah · 05/02/2023 16:33

D but I was seriously deficient!
Collagen, don't creak as much now.
Vit c on days I am feeling off, great boost

Icannoteven · 05/02/2023 16:35

Vit d. started taking it because of a deficiency and within a few weeks the bone and joint pain I had been experiencing went away and I felt much less tired.

Shannith · 05/02/2023 16:35

Iron - nearly everyone is low in it. Massive difference to my energy levels.

Vit D - also low in almost all people. I take it from Oct- May

Both prescribed and high dosage.

Slimjimtobe · 05/02/2023 16:37

Really interested in this
for me the best supplement I take is St. John’s wort. The dark clouds have lifted and I don’t cry as much

Makegoodchoices · 05/02/2023 16:48

Vit D - makes me sleep better and be more cheerful. I was not doing well last year and it has made such a difference. Can’t tell whether it’s the better sleep that is making me more cheerful or the vit d itself.

Peppermintaero · 05/02/2023 16:52

vit D on advice of GP. I can feel it when I haven’t taken it: I ache and I feel sad.

SagelyNodding · 05/02/2023 16:56

I came here to say vitamin D too! I hadn't realised how crappy I had been feeling until getting a mega dose prescribed by my GP after a blood test-it's completely changed my state of mind!

Honeymoone · 05/02/2023 16:59

I need to take iron but I actually want to take one that will constipate me a bit (I know it’s ridiculous but I have IBSD) can anyone recommend one? What dosage do I need?

cheapskatemum · 05/02/2023 16:59

Vitamin D from late October to April-ish

Casilero · 05/02/2023 17:01

I've recently bought Moringa tea and noticed a massive improvement in mood. It says it's high in vitamins a to e plus magnesium, copper and zinc. I do also take a separate vit d tablet.

SchoolQuestionnaire · 05/02/2023 17:02

Iron, calcium with vit D and collagen. I definitely feel better but after reading the thread I’m going to up my dose of vit D when I’ve finished the current lot.

Work2live · 05/02/2023 17:03

Magnesium - I really notice a difference in my sleep quality whenever I run out and don’t take it for a few days.

Solgar Gentle Iron is great. I used to take Floradix but still got a bit constipated. Now I take the Solgar and no bother at all. (Solgar are the best vitamins in general IMO)

I take Vitamin D in the spray.

Solgar Immune Defence if feeling like a cold is coming. (along with that Vicks First Defence stuff)

Glucosamine for my ancient joints.

PAFMO · 05/02/2023 17:04

Sorry! Misread @Honeymoone
Floradix then!

bluebeach · 05/02/2023 17:04

Vitamin D
Vitamin C
biotin
turmuric and black pepper
collagen

Now, I’m not sure which ones are doing the job but my hair is thicker with less shedding, my hip stopped hurting, my skin cleared up and my mood improved.
I’ll just keep taking them all!

something2say · 05/02/2023 17:05

Magnesium - for peri sleeplessness.

Wibblewibble1 · 05/02/2023 17:06

Vitamin b complex

Bubblebubblebah · 05/02/2023 17:06

Icannoteven · 05/02/2023 16:35

The bone pain is so difficult to explain sometimes, isn't it.😂
"Bones in my legs hurt"
"You mean muscles"
"No actual bones"
"Impossible, you must have pulled something"

Frenchfancy · 05/02/2023 17:07

If you just mean vitamins then vitamin D in winter like many others.

If you mean supplements then a Glucosamine, chondroitin msm mix by Solar which keeps my osteoarthritis at bay.

Squiblet · 05/02/2023 17:08

I've been taking a lowish dose of vit D (1,000 IU) all winter and have noticed absolutely no difference in anything.

grayhairdontcare · 05/02/2023 17:11

Menopace and well women.
I am definitely sleeping better and have more energy

JuneOsborne · 05/02/2023 17:11

Vitamin D. I had a deficiency a couple of years ago and will never let myself get into that state again.

bloodywhitecat · 05/02/2023 17:13

Spatone, Vit D and magnesium.
