Tenn dd has tiktok and was showing me some of the content. Loads of beautiful people pouting and miming wearing not too much? It's a bit cringe and narcissistic isn't it?

There are some examples of good content there but this seems to be the main.

Also, as an aside....everyone is stunning and makes me feel old!

Youre right but I wouldn't let a 10 Yr old use Tik Tok. Some of the stuff on there is shocking!

Teen or ten?
I wouldn't let a ten year old use it!

But yes, yanbu.

To be honest I don't get that much of that kind of thing on my feed as it targets your feed at the type of videos you engage with. I get mostly dog and baby videos! And scroll past anything that doesn't interest me. But I'm not sure about a ten year old using it. Having said that, my niece is 12 and fairly sensible and has been on it a couple of years. I don't know what content she gets.

Denise82 · 30/01/2023 05:14

That stuff annoys me too, but I don't get a lot of it as I like and watch most of the recipe videos, so my algorithm is that mostly. If anything else does pop up that I don't like, I just mark it as "not interested." it seems to work for me 🙂

SpookyBlackCat · 30/01/2023 05:52

Oh, gosh, it’s not real. They all use filters!

Floogal · 30/01/2023 06:31

Some are so boring and pointless. The ones with Sia's unstoppable and girls pointing at superimposed words make me cringe.

I do like the Thotianna/mommyana ones where women are front carrying their boyfriends and dancing. Must be really strong to do that. Even giving DH piggyback for few seconds tires me out ,🤣

AutumnCrow · 30/01/2023 06:39

Yeah, filters.

Helen901 · 30/01/2023 07:17

It is cringe and i always think will be embarrassing later in life for these kids when employers/friends search them up.
